I’M NOT SURE WHAT IT IS, BUT I BET IT’LL BE FUN

So I get this press invite for tomorrow night for a movie and after-party at Hustler Hollywood following the screening of the Los Angeles premiere of Lloyd Kaufman’s Poultrygeist, Night of The Chicken Dead. Sweet. Now if someone could tell me what it is?
This is from the invite and may help you further understand what this is:Troma Entertainment, the oldest continually operating truly independent movie studio in the world, announced today that the Los Angeles premiere of Lloyd Kaufman’s Poultrygeist, Night of The Chicken Dead will be followed by an exclusive, invite-only after party featuring Ron Jeremy, Hustler, Lloyd Kaufman, Eli Roth, James Gunn, Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Stan Lee, Quentin Tarantino, Julie Strain, Kevin Eastman, Roger Corman, the Poultrygeist Cast, porn stars, and more.
Tomorrow is Staci’s birthday, and we already have a huge day planned which includes a petting zoo, make your own pizza hour, picking up lots of dog poop and more than likely something that revolves around alcohol, so I will not be making the trip out to Hollywood for the party. But I would otherwise. If Trey Parker really did show up, I’m sure I could charm him into hiring me as a writer or guest voice for a retard or something.
But is the movie a horror film or a comedy? I don’t get it.
But I’m sure the fine folks over at HUSTLER will throw a hell of a party. Booze, babes and benwa balls!

It’s the new Troma flick and it’s supposed to be their best ever. It’s also gotten astoundingly great reviews from just about everyone. (Links to write-ups can be found at http://www.poultrygeistmovie.com/)

Damn Fayner, how can you not know about Troma? Toxic Avenger. Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D., Class of Nuk’em High… the list goes on.
Poultrygeist has been out for a while and you can google the video clips. It’s basically a comedy/musical/gore-fest with a bunch of nudity and gross-out visuals. There are also some pretty clever observations hidden throughout the movie(s) too.
Troma’s been around for over 30 years now and is pretty important to independent filmmakers and the first amendment alike. Trey Parker and Matt Stone actually got their start in the biz with Troma with a movie called Cannibal: The Musical.
You really should go.
