Truth is, before my birthday party I hadn’t seen Mr. Darkko in a long, long time. We had lost touch. But after Rhi died he sent me a nice text and invited me for lunch yesterday over at Kabuki in Woodland Hills. We had a very nice chat, which I will not tell you about because we were drinking heavily and it was a private affair. We ate lots of sashimi (Darkko even got some free tuna ’cause he complained about getting the end piece!), drank beer and sake. Jonni makes some damn fine porn. I think he’s one of the best directors in the biz. Not only does he shoot sexy, hot chicks enthusiastically liberating men of their excess sperm, but the music he uses in his “soundtracks” are fabulous.
I hear Jonni heralds from the Chicago area. By the music he employs in his videos, I assume that the Chicago house music and electronic music scene (Medusa’s, Metro, Neo, etc.) had made a listing impression on the talented Mr. Darkko.
