KEITH MOON WOULD HAVE BEEN SO PROUD

Most of you are probably too young to remember Keith Moon, but he was before his death the insane drummer for the legendary rock band, The Who. He was also, according to many a tale, the ultimate prankster.
Once, I believe at a Holiday Inn in New York City during one of their American tours, the young British skinsman dropped a bunch of M-80 explosives down his penthouse toilet and proceeded to flush them down, causing them to go off inside the building’s plumbing. Every floor below got flooded. Keith got kicked out. And when Who guitarist Pete Townshend returned that night he discovered that not only had all the band’s possessions been destroyed, but he as well could no longer stay at the hotel. Rumor is that to this day, the surviving members of the band are still not allowed to stay in any Holiday Inns across the United States.
Okay, so here is what I originally meant to write before I went in to my Keith Moon rant: three dumb college kids on Spring Break in Daytona Beach blew up their balcony with a stick of dynamite. Boy, I wish I was still in college so I could do retarded things like this. Sure, I may have done some bad things in life, but blowing up part of a hotel ’cause I’m wasted drunk? That takes a lot of balls and even more inbeeding than I care to imagine.
The kids got caught (duh) and went to jail, facing a charge of discharging a destructive device causing injury and property damage which is a first-degree felony. Bummer for them.
