Girl, 14, worked as stripper at Camelot West strip club in Kentucky, police say
A 14-year-old girl worked as a stripper for two nights before her parents showed up at the Camelot West strip club and called police Tuesday evening.
Robert Shields, the manager of the strip club at 1761 Alexandria Drive, was cited for endangering the welfare of a minor, Lexington police said.
The juvenile had apparently worked until midnight Monday and her parents arrived at the strip club about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, said Lt. Edward Hart. She had used a fake identification card to get the job, Hart said. The manager was cited because the juvenile showed ID that didn’t look anything like her.
“He didn’t take due care and caution when hiring her and exposed her to risk that endangered her,” Hart said.
A call to the club seeking comment from a manager was not returned.
